Watching ‘Unreported World- How to Fuel a Famine’ on 40D.
The obligatory advert which appears before and again at regular intervals throughout each feature shown, on this particular show is as follows:

A well-dressed plump woman clutching a loudspeaker stands before a large, near hysterical crowd of women on a platform and cries out in a meaningful and passionate voice:
‘WOMEN OF THE WORLD UNITE TO TELL THE WORLD WE HAVE SATISFIED OUR CHOCOLATE CRAVINGS!’
The chocolate bar being advertised, we are informed, also contains 40% of our daily fiber needs. Upon hearing this, the women who have been listening intently, begin to scream and shout in pure unadulterated glee and excitement that their chocolate cravings have FINALLY been satisfied.

and on rolls the show, African children shyly gaze into the camera, bellies protruding ,and proceed to starve to death whilst UN aid fails to reach them and the world appears to ignore them.
I personally would just love to meet the advertising GENIUS who overlooked this embarrassing (not just for them, for Britain; for goodness sake, please do NOT inform the entire world that Britain’s overweight and overzealous middle-aged ‘chocoholics’ have just been granted a chocolate bar which might help them indulge their ‘cravings’ but not get any fatter, because the world, which for the most-part is incidentally starving to death, might not view this with the jump-up-and-down, fat-rolls a-rippling jubilation with which we do) mistake, so I that could laugh for 15 minutes and then SLAP THEM.
