This morning I took an elderly gentleman for breakfast at Widnes wetherspoons. We have been going most Sunday’s since first opened I ordered 2 traditional breakfasts asking for one being without an egg and replaced with a sausage. We had not been for 3 months as he had not been too well . I was served by the manager who said that they cannot swap I said I have had no problem in the 10 yrs with it .Her answer being due to stock can not swap I found her attitude humiliating and talked to as though it was robot not a person .Friends were at the bar and passed comment of her attitude and found it all a joke . If one was apologetic that it is new policy I may have accepted that the morning was upsetting I would have left immediately but for treating the elderly gentleman.i bought his traditional breakfast not mine if this is your policy now please let me know and we will drink and dine elsewhere .
