Respected Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi Ji,
My 6 year old Son Swapnil Sharma had appeared in Admission Test @ Delhi Public School, Sector-30, Noida held on 30.01.2016 for admission in Class II for the new session 2016-17.
He was successful in admission test and ranked 24th among total 37 shortlisted children for parents interaction on 09.02.2016 based on admission test result, however unfortunately he was not selected for admission after parent’s interaction on 09.02.2016.
On 10th February 2016 School has published a final list of 32 selected candidates in which my son is one of them who doesn’t get selected.
My son despite being 24th in the merit list was not selected along with 4 other children who having a rank 12th, 15th, 25th and 32nd, but in contrast those who are ranked 33rd,34th, 35th, 36th and 37th in admission test result was selected and granted admission.
Me and my wife and parents of 4 other children’s fault were, we are unable to impress the school authority with our profile or school management wasn’t happy with our backgrounds.
I find this type of act by school management is inequality and discrimination, which is very hazardous for society and frightful for studying kids.
We had sent an review application to the school’s principal, I had tried to meet the school’s principal and to chairman “The Delhi Public School Society” to plead our case however all my efforts to reach them was futile and haven’t bear any fruits.
It’s absurd and very unfair that a bright student who is successful in the admission test and has been shortlisted has been deprived for admission on the basis of parent’s social background or parents academic credentials or financial status.
Am unable to understand whether its mandatory for parents to be socially elite to get the child admission in prestigious schools, does rikshawala or laborers kids will not get the privileged to get the admission in Delhi Public School Noida, does constitution allow that children of illiterate or semi illiterate parents will not study in the best schools of the society.
Am wondering if Bharat Ratna Sri “APJ Abdul Kalam” had to face the discrimination in his school days at Rameswaram on the basis of his parent’s background, then world had to be very poorer in absence of his research and wisdom.
My Son Swapnil Sharma is a very bright student and topper in his class and doing exemplary well in his studies and other activities in his current school at Presidium, Indirapuram, Delhi NCR.
He has won many certificates and trophies in his school for his outstanding performances in Spellathon Competition, Recitation Competition, Handwriting Contest, Class Activities, Quiz Contest, Rhyme and Chime Competition, Show and Tell etc.
My 10 year old elder Son is an autistic Child and going in a Special School and for our younger Son Swapnil Sharma we have an ambition and dream to put him in a very prestigious institution like Delhi Public School Noida, where he can get a more experienced teachers, good quality education and better environment which may help him to achieve his goals and our dreams in future.
As Delhi Public School, Sector-30, Noida is one of the best schools in Delhi NCR, we aspire and desire for him to be part of this school.
I would like to request you that please look in to the matter and help me to get the justice for my little son.
Your urgent attention and early action in this matter is requested.
Looking forward for yours positive response.
Best Regards,
Deepak Kumar
