I joined Tesco Mobile in January and was informed there wouldn’t be much of a signal at my home address but the mast was being worked on and the signal would be boosted within a couple of weeks. I went in the shop three weeks ago to complain and was again told the mast was being worked on. Then I received an email telling me that I would no longer be able to get BT Openzone or Hotspots. Seems to me that the service is useless and I wish to be released from my SIM only contract.
I’m surprised you were ever able to use BT Openzone…it was a pointless Wi-Fi option.
Use the Cloud it’s much quicker and there’s more of them. It was an extra that Tesco Mobile didn’t really need to provide and no other company used it.
At first I thought it was a bonus but its really not even worth worrying about…you won’t miss it!!!
In terms of the mast, Tesco Phone shops do not have direct access to mast information so I would not complain to them. You were told that the signal was not good where you were so they were honest about it but you still signed a contract.
You have a 14day cooling off period for a reason but if you wish to cancel it would be up to the store’s area manager to authorise. You would have to visit the store to clarify.
