We just visited water end barn weather spoon and we tried to pay for our meals by the price displayed on the menu in the pub
It turned out that there had been a price rise that only the till knew about as it charged on average 50p more for most of the meals
When I pointed this out I was told that the old menu was out by mistake but I would still be charged the new prices from a menu that wasn’t even displayed
Then we witnessed a hurried member of staff taking away all the present menus to later appear with the new higher priced ones
It should be and always is the right code of practice to pay the displayed price but not in this case it was the higher price that was charged
We also witnessed it being questioned by a few other customers
Come on where is customer service or satisfaction from this
