How does tesco get away with cheating on prices does anyone else notice, they reduce but dont loose out like i buy value honey 67p then it went to 87p the its 3 for £2 same price per item value stuffing 15p then one week it went to 30p then a a label saying its good tesco value price?next to the packets, value peaches 27p now 39p they have changed this price 5 times .but what can one do?i could go on and on,some items reduced 50 % i called that a huge mark up
tesco price fixing [more like cheating]

My husband filled up petrol only to find his card had been stolen so tesco issue him a pink slip allowing him 7 days to pay the bill I then went back to tesco and made the payment on my card within the 7 day period however a month on tesco is still sending us threatening letters demanding more money advising that they will take us to court dispite the fact that four staff members have confirmed that the payment has reached them and my card statments prove thsi fact futher.
Tesco should be ashamed of takeing advantage and threatenign innoccent people in thsi manner just to make extra profit dispite the payment having been made several weeks ago with in the 7 day period.
Let us get one thing crystal clear… While in your complaint you mention tesco, this happens in most supermarkets. Price fixing happens all day, every day to most supermarkets it is in fact now a hidden industry standard of making the customer believe they have a bargain when in most cases they have actually paid either the same or more for the same quantity at the old price.
More and more people are getting wise to this and have stopped buying the offers altogether (wine is a prime example.. half price…3 for 12 etc) Years ago, they used to call this process loss leaders, to get the customer to come into the shop in the first place in a vain hope of buying more products.
The simple answer is, nothing in life is free, if you have got money off an item ,the price would of been raised elsewhere. IF you don’t need to be 3 of an item, then don’t, you will make a long term saving and help the environment from not wasting food.
Saying all that, I no long shop in Tesco due to it’s very poor customer service, localised inflated prices, price fixing, rude staff, poor parking and the fact these supermarkets drive out local business who try hard to compete.
My final words to you are forget Tesco etc… Support local stores instead, more expensive but they don’t rob you and usually give you great customer service!

i went to tesco i buy itam 3for2 but when i came home its all same price i check onlion tesco but thay still on 3for 2 what should i do
now .should i go tesco does thay refund me some one told me if thay charge extra thay give full amount and itam is free is it true
Pricing is ridicules. Tesco 200 gram coffee is 2.60 so in theory 300 grams should be 3.90 or less. Its 4.75. I even saw a label marking an item as 1.00 each or 2 for 2.00. Bought a printer cartridge for just over 18 pounds from Morrisons, Tesco want 26.47 for exactly the same. Could be here all day. Ray
I was buying a box of 12 Tesco value jellies for 6p and then 7p and early last year for 8p each for years, suddenly Hartleys boxed jellies were in the same plastic wrapping and now they were 30p. Morrisons Asda and Sainsbury all sold their own brand jellies at the same low price, all of them changed to Hartleys overnight. I susspect that is the company who made the own brand versions, not content to create a monopaly the price of 30p in September went to 35p in December and still is that price or dearer in other supermarkets. A cheap trifle for kids has become out of reach for hard up parents with children, and there is no alternatives,Tesco make billions of pounds from the shoppers who don’t compare prices, today I bought Mrs Brown Boys DVD at £14.97 in Tesco, went to get something from WHsmiths and there it was £12.99, so took the Tesco one back and asked for a refund. I told the customer service lady Tescos were £2 dearer her reply was I will refund the DVD you can buy it where you like.

This is ridiculous as the price change is your duty to notify us before making any payment. I have already post this into blogs. This is not price differences. This is cheating.

Dear Ms
Thank you for your patience in allowing us the time to assist you on this occasion.
Firstly, I’m sorry to hear that there were problems with your recent Home Shopping order and for any inconvenience caused.
I appreciate that it can be frustrating when the total cost of your order differs to the price quoted online and I would like to apologise for any confusion caused.
Our online prices are guide prices only as the cost of products can vary on a day to day basis, as a result of promotions etc. You’re also able to add weighted items to your basket which means that the total cost of your order cannot be determined until your scheduled day of delivery. Your delivery documents are an accurate reflection of the cost of your items in store on the day they are delivered.
Please let me reassure you, that if you’re unhappy with the cost of any items on your final bill, you can eith return them to the store with the driver for a full refund or to any of our Extra or Superstores. Please be sure to bring along your delivery documents as proof of purchase.
I hope this information is helpful to you and if you have any further enquiries, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards
Helena Lopez

It is so disgusting when heard you have said this. There is no standard price on your web. And this price will go up when you received your goods. I can only pay foods with my awareness and agreement on the price you displayed. Therefore I would like full refund please.
As your loyalty customer, it is very sad that you have changed your standards. This misunderstanding and misrepresentation have caused fear, resentment and inconvenience. This is not acceptable.

Dear Ms Xu,
Thank you for your email and for your patience in allowing me time to look into your query.
Further to the order you received on the 12th of February, I’m sorry that you found your invoice to be incorrect. I understand how disappointing this must be for you and I’d really like to investigate.
Therefore, could I please ask that you include the prices you expected to pay in relation to what was actually charged?
Please note that the prices on our Grocery website are guide prices only. The actual price you pay will be the price charged in store at the time your order is picked for delivery. The actual order value cannot be determined until the day of delivery because
the prices stated on the website may vary either above or below the prices in store on the day your order is picked and delivered.
It would be really helpful if you could forward a copy of the delivery documents you received from the driver as well , including the back page which shows any promotional savings.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Geoff Hunt

The guide price is based on today’s prices instore. However as we shop for your order on the day you want it delivered, some of the prices may have changed.
The guide price uses an estimated weight for weighed items like grapes and cheese. But what you pay will use the exact weight, so the price may vary slightly.
If you’re not happy with the price of any items, simply return them to your driver for a full refund.
Kind Regards,
