Dear Sir or Madam
Ref: Tesco Store Layout
As supermarkets are the cheapest way to shop and yours is the closest to where I live, I do my main shop with you every Wednesday.
Being of a short build, five foot in fact, it would seem I am not the only one who struggles to reach some of the goods needed on a weekly basis. I have to admit that I get a little tired of waiting for someone tall enough to come past so that I can beg their assistance.
Over the past six weeks, the dairylea has had an empty carton at the front of the shelf. Reaching up and knocking it out of the way, I can see more stock but it is way out of my reach. Seeing as it is the only thing my son will eat on bread, I find it most frustrating.
It would seem that mostly, it is the heavy things that are put on the top shelves of your store. It might be an idea for you to provide shopping escorts for this purpose, an extra task for some of your taller staff.
On a different subject, I would like to know what is happening with your own brand Senior Dog Meat. My dog suffers with stomach problems and it is the only brand she can digest.
Maybe you should incorporate vetenary surgeries in you points system to help pay the bills.
Unhappily yours

Your Small Tesco Express Store in Lakedale Road,Plumstead,London, UK, SE18 as you go in the front shop doors you have a Bin and it says on it Recycle House Hold Batteries on it but i wanted to put a Bag full of Batteries in it so where it is near the front door people put there Shopping Receiptes in there and it was full up with them that Box should be Near the Custmer Sevice Desk then Custmers will put there House Hold Batteries in there not use it as a Bin?
Please reply back.
My dog likes bonios and own brand pet food, and I think might find it appeared in there last week sometime..
As for any battery bin, let’s just be a little grateful that it’s only receipts that get put into it, and nothing far worse!
I had and spent £15 worth of vouchers over Christmas and they were cancelled due to me forgetting my wallet, Ok! oops. my problem, I was given the vouchers back by the assistant she got them out of the M/C I was told that they were cancelled on 3 separate days by three separate assistants, they have not showed up on my balance to date and I still have the vouchers,
I would not have the vouchers if they had been used, as in spent, I could not have them out of the M/C in my position, could someone let me know what I do next?
Thanks
It sounds like a bit of an unfortunate situation, perhaps not the most common scenario, and unfortunately not the easiest to sort out, as vouchers tend not a kind of “in store” issue – if that makes any sense.
Maybe a call to tesco customer services might be the best thing, as the store itself may have it’s hands tied about what they can do with vouchers. Tesco customer services strive to put the customer first, and are set up to deal with non-mainstream issues like this one. Give them a go, nothing to lose! Maybe they might credit you or reward you in some other way – won’t hurt to try. Good luck!
I have a complaint about the Tescos Ricmond Store layout. Not long ago this store was boasting about how it is going to have a great new layout which to be fair when it was first revealed looked great because it was more spacious but a few months later it is an absolute nightmare to shop in. Not because the products are in different places but because they have been placed in such a way that is completely abscent of any logic and seems to have been quite an effort to try to mismatch as many items as possible. I will give you examples which might descibe the severity of the absurdity. If you are looking for a sewing kit, then you will have to check between the beer and the wine. I cannot fathom why you would place your sewing kits in amongst the alcohol as no one with a sane mind would ever look for it there unless Tescos is making a statement that only drunkards sew? Still water is not with any of the other drinks it can only be found amongst the sweets and sparkling water of the same brands can only be found on the complete opposite side of the store. When I asked a memeber of staff where to find the still water the man’s reply was abruptly “well it’s obviosly with the choclates!”. I would like to know, did your marketing department really tell you that you will sell more if you put put sewing kits with the wine and separate still and sparkling water amongst a horde of other mismatched items that you will get more sales? It makes looking for an item that you have in mind impossible as there is no logical way of finding it.
