I went to your Brighton Marina Bar yesterday for lunch with a friend. I have been there several times before with no problems.
Yesterday we waited around 1/2 an hour for our lunch. I had the grilled chicken burger with fries and diet coke.
Firstly I found the chicken very chewy, but I carried on. I then tried to cut a piece of chicken which was inpossible. by then I called the waitress and said that the chicken was ineddible, she offered a replacement but as we had waited so long for the first one I was running late for an appointment. she took the plate away and that was that.
I waited for something to happen and as nothing did happen I asked another member of staff to see the manager.
I was told that he would be a few minutes. when he arrived I explained the situation and that I had refused another portion as I could not wait that long. I asked for a refund which at first he refused. he then offered me a complimentary coffee and cake. I said again that I did not have time unfortunately, I asked him what he meant by complimentary, Would I still get my money back and he said not if I had the complimentary coffee and cake. I asked for a refund which he brought. The hole meal was £5 something and he gave me £3 something when questioned he said that I had had the drink which was with the meal for a set price.
Is this the way you treat your customers?
