I bought a large white bloomer loaf, took it home and then sliced it; the bread inside was wet! why? bread should not be wet inside, this really makes me angry … I know the problem, its frozen and then reheated to a very poor quility.
Baking standards in bread production in supermarkets is at such a low quility now that the value to the customer is useless; they have to go back to in-house baking from scratch, from flour to finished product and maintain that high quility in overal appearance and taste .
Please employ in-house Bakers and bring back the infustructure to bake, and if the price has to go up for quility: then so be it.
I bought some sainsburys crisps as always as we love them and yes i no there cheap but i am a single mum and still expect high quality and every pack of the salt and vinegar has no flavouring on them in the 12 pack i bought this week not happy !!!!!
Sainburys bread is very poor. The crusts are not integral with the
Bread inside. when the loaf is cut the crust shatters and daparts from the inner bread.
A dustpan and brush to sweep up the mess is more useful than a sharp bread knife.
I now shop for all my groceries at Morrisons only because the bread is better..
Come on Sainburys! Get a grip and start producing some decent bread.
It will only have been part-baked elsewhere if you shopped in a Local store, where there isn’t space for a proper bakery. From a full size supermarket will have been made by in-house bakers. Poke your nose over the cake counter into the bakery next time, you’ll see bakers covered in flour, needing dough and the like. It was probably wrapped too soon after baking while the bread was still warm, condensed on the pack and made the bread wet.
