One of the things that really annoys me about the iPhone is the way that Apple market them. Ever since the launch they have released products that have been lacking in some way.

The first generation iPhone did not work with the 3G network, the second generation iPhone was not able to take video footage and this trend continues with the third generation iPhones. The camera is only 2 megapixels. There is absolutely no excuse for this. I bought a Nokia N95 nearly three years ago with a 5 megapixel sensor. The price differential must be minimal and all it does is give Apple the opportunity to release an iPhone 4GS with a better camera in the future.

Secondly, the device works is bluetooth enabled but this is of little use. You cannot attache a bluetooth keyboard, you cannot send pictures by bluetooth unuless you install a silly application that requires you to bump into other iPhone users (yes only iPhone users), and you canot send vcards by blutooth. To be honest I am not sure why they bothered.

Thirdly, on all the other phones I have had I have been able to upload and make my own ringtones, but Apple see this as another income stream and you can only buy them from iTunes. Even if you have the original song you have to pay another £1 to get the ringtone – what a rip off.

Finally, the battery just doesn’t last long enough and it has to be charged every night and as you cannot replace the battery yourself there is little point in taking a spare.
